Xi'an to Yan'an high-speed rail will start operation on December 26th.
The Xi'an to Yan'an high-speed railway will officially open for operation on December 26th, bringing the revolutionary old areas of northern Shaanxi into the high-speed rail era. The Xi'an to Yan'an high-speed railway starts from Xi'an East Station in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, passes through Weinan City and Tongchuan City, and connects to Yan'an Station in Yan'an City. A connecting line to Xi'an North Station is also being constructed simultaneously. The total length of the line is 299 kilometers, with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The high-speed railway will have 10 stations, including Gao Ling, Fu Ping Nan, Tongchuan, Tongchuan North, Yi Jun, Huang Ling, Luo Chuan, Fu Xian Bei, Gan Quan Bei, and Yan'an. Gan Quan Bei and Yan'an are renovated and expanded stations, while the rest are new stations. Xi'an East Station is currently under construction in an orderly manner. The supporting projects, such as the connecting line to Xi'an North Station of the Xi'an to Yan'an high-speed railway, will also open at the same time. After completion, the high-speed railway will operate with a maximum speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
