AI chip startup Groq announced that it has reached a non-exclusive licensing agreement with NVIDIA (NVDA.O) for its inference technology. According to the terms of the agreement, Groq founder Jonathan Ross, President Sunny Madra, and other core team members will join NVIDIA to jointly promote the upgrading and scaling of licensed technology. Groq will continue to operate as an independent company, with Simon Edwards taking over as CEO. GroqCloud services will continue to operate as usual without being affected by this collaboration. NVIDIA has denied reports of acquiring Groq.
