U.S. bond yields fell by about 3 basis points, breaking the silence in the North American session and gradually moving lower.
On Wednesday in New York, the yield on the 10-year US Treasury fell by 2.93 basis points to 4.1335%. Before 23:00 Beijing time, it generally maintained a slight decline, staying around 4.16%, and then accelerated its decline, hitting a daily low of 4.1276% at 02:25. The yield on the 2-year US Treasury fell by 3.06 basis points to 3.5014%, rising slightly to 3.5382% at 20:41 before gradually declining. The yield on the 30-year US Treasury fell by 3.04 basis points to 4.7938%. The 2/10-year US Treasury yield spread fell by 0.476 basis points to +62.390 basis points. The yield on the 10-year Treasury inflation-protected securities (TIPS) fell by 2.51 basis points to 1.8741%; the yield on the 2-year TIPS dropped by 1.00 basis point to 1.1852%; and the yield on the 30-year TIPS declined by 2.53 basis points to 2.5842%.
