Spot gold rose above $4500 in the Asia-Pacific early trading session, setting a new historical high.

On Wednesday, New York's session ended with spot gold falling by 0.11%, to $4479.42 per ounce. By 09:25 Beijing time, it had risen to $4525.77, reaching a new historical high, before gradually declining and hitting a daily low of $4448.66 at 23:48. COMEX gold futures also fell by 0.01%, to $4505.40 per ounce, rising to $4555.10 by 09:25 and setting a new historical high before dropping and hitting a daily low of $4474.30 at 23:48.
