Union of the Mantoverde copper and gold mine owned by Codelco in Chile has stated that if the labor contract negotiation fails, workers are prepared to go on strike, which may begin on December 29th. Currently, the government has initiated a preliminary mediation process lasting five days, which can be extended for another five days if both parties agree.
