In Zimbabwe, heavy rains during the rainy season have resulted in the deaths of 60 people.

Since entering the rainy season in November, as of December 24th, the death toll in Zimbabwe caused by heavy rain has risen to 60. Weather warnings jointly issued by the local meteorological department and civil defense department show that Manicaland Province, Masvingo Province, Harare Metropolitan Province, East Mashonaland Province, and Central Mashonaland Province and other provinces will continue to experience heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds this week.
