The person in charge of the relevant department of the Guangzhou Futures Exchange stated that for platinum and palladium varieties, the goods specified in the registered warehouse standard receipts should be domestic platinum ingots and palladium ingots, while the goods specified in the registered factory warehouse standard receipts should be domestic or imported platinum ingots, sponge platinum and platinum powder, as well as domestic or imported palladium ingots, sponge palladium, and palladium powder. Prior to the listing of platinum and palladium futures on the Guangzhou Futures Exchange, the first batch of 14 domestic platinum and 13 domestic palladium registered brands, as well as 26 foreign platinum and 24 foreign palladium registered brands, have been published, covering most common platinum and palladium brands domestically and internationally. In the future, the Guangzhou Futures Exchange will continue to promote the approval of designated delivery warehouses, registered brands, and other related matters for platinum and palladium futures, adjusting registered brands and related information according to market conditions and making timely announcements. Currently, the delivery system for platinum and palladium futures on the Guangzhou Futures Exchange is ready. Next, the Guangzhou Futures Exchange will conduct training for platinum and palladium futures delivery warehouses, delivery factory warehouses, designated inspection agencies, and registered brand enterprises, and will carry out simulated operations and exams on the delivery system. In May 2026, the Guangzhou Futures Exchange will begin processing platinum and palladium futures delivery business on time to ensure a smooth start for the first platinum and palladium futures delivery.
