Changan Automobile announces battery pack protection patent to prevent battery explosion caused by impact.

According to Tianyancha App, recently, the patent for "battery pack protection device, battery pack protection system, and vehicle" applied by Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. in Chongqing has been published. The abstract shows that the battery pack protection device is configured to connect with the frame, battery pack, and powertrain components separately. The battery pack protection device includes a first bracket and a second bracket. The first bracket is located in the powertrain components of the vehicle; at either end of the first bracket along its length, it is connected to the powertrain components and the frame of the vehicle respectively. The second bracket is located between the subframe and the battery pack, and it is positioned on one side of the first bracket away from the powertrain components; there is a distance between the second bracket and the subframe. In the event of an impact on the vehicle, the impact force can be transferred through the first bracket to the vehicle body to reduce the impact force on the battery pack, thus avoiding the explosion of the battery pack due to the impact force.
