Hong Kong further optimizes the entry scheme for technology talent.

The Innovation and Technology Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government today launched further optimization measures for the Technology Talent Admission Scheme, allowing qualified companies to expedite the hiring of innovative technology talents from around the world, facilitating their research and development activities in Hong Kong, strengthening Hong Kong's pool of innovative technology talents, and promoting innovation and technological development in Hong Kong. The optimization measures include: streamlining the application process, allowing technology companies and qualified talents to simultaneously submit quota and visa/entry permit applications; exempting the restriction of being required to engage in research and development activities in 14 designated technology fields, in order to better respond to the rapidly evolving innovation and technology development; and setting up a dedicated service window for applications at the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park, providing one-stop assistance for park tenants and nurturing companies in their application and follow-up assistance.
