Turkey: Libyan military leader's plane reported power failure before crash.
On the night of the 23rd, the director of the Turkish Presidential Palace's Press Office, Burhanettin Duran, posted on social media that the Libyan military leaders' plane had reported a power failure before the crash. Earlier, Turkish officials said that the "Falcon-50" business jet, produced by French Dassault Aviation, crashed after taking off from the Turkish capital, Ankara, and the wreckage was found near a village in the Haymana district of Ankara province, about 70 kilometers south of Ankara. Libyan Chief of Staff, Mohamed Ali Ahmed Haddad, and four accompanying personnel, as well as three crew members, all died in the crash. Duran said that the plane reported a power failure to the Turkish Air Traffic Control Center before the crash and requested an emergency landing. Turkish Interior Minister, Ali Yerlikaya, said in a statement earlier that ground personnel were unable to re-establish communication with the plane afterwards.
