COMEX copper futures rose 1.18% to $5.5670 per pound, starting a sustained uptrend at 14:00 and accelerating after the release of US GDP data, reaching $5.6210 at 21:50. Spot platinum rose 7.46% to $2289.54 per ounce, approaching the historic high of $2300.00 set in early 2008; spot palladium rose 4.43% to $1857.46 per ounce, nearing the peak of $1969.57 on December 9, 2022.
