Vuchic: Serbia's natural gas supply agreement with Russia extended until the end of March next year
On December 23rd, local time, Serbian President Vucic announced that Serbia has reached an agreement with Russia on the issue of natural gas supply. The existing agreement will be extended until March 31, 2026, ensuring the security of energy supply during winter. Vucic pointed out that this arrangement will effectively safeguard the needs of residents' lives and economic operations, and people do not need to worry about natural gas shortages. He emphasized that the overall situation of energy security in Serbia is stable, and the country is prepared to deal with various complex situations. Regarding issues in the oil sector, Vucic stated that Gazprom is in negotiations with Hungarian energy company MOL regarding the adjustment of shares of the Serbian oil company. Serbia is open to cooperation with Hungary and believes that the friendly relationship and good cooperation foundation between the two countries will benefit both.
