According to the Wisdom Financial APP, on December 23, the cross-departmental working group led by the Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government, Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, announced the latest information and arrangements for the New Year holiday. It is estimated that there will be around 11.52 million people (including Hong Kong residents and visitors) entering and leaving Hong Kong through various sea, land, and air control points. After consultation between the Hong Kong Immigration Department and the Shenzhen Immigration Checkpoint, it is estimated that about 9.65 million people will enter and leave Hong Kong through various land border control points.
