Gree Electric Appliances: The company currently does not have a plan to replace copper with aluminum.
Gree Electric Appliances stated on the interactive platform on December 23 that copper is the core raw material of air conditioners, accounting for about 20% of the air conditioner cost. Although under the same circumstances, the cost of aluminum is about 1/12 of copper, there is a significant gap between aluminum and copper in terms of parameters such as melting point, thermal conductivity, electrical resistance, corrosion resistance, as well as long-term reliability. In the case that its performance, quality, and reliability cannot be fully guaranteed, the company currently has no plans to replace copper with aluminum. The company values research on aluminum replacing copper technology and will continue to pay attention to industry dynamics.
