The UAE state-owned renewable energy company, Masdar, announced its first project in Malaysia, signing an agreement to develop the largest floating solar power station in Southeast Asia. A consortium led by Masdar signed a power purchase agreement for a 200-megawatt floating photovoltaic project at the Chereh dam. The project is expected to involve an investment of over 850 million Malaysian ringgit.
