DJI's new patent allows for the control of drones through gesture recognition.

According to the Qichacha APP, Shenzhen DJI Innovations Technology Co., Ltd. has been granted a patent for a "method and device for controlling drones and drones". The patent abstract shows that the embodiments of the invention provide a method for controlling a drone. This method includes: obtaining an image taken by a shooting device; determining the position of a hand of a target object in the image; determining the position information of the hand of the target object based on the position of the hand in the image, where the position information is three-dimensional position information; and controlling the flight of the drone based on the position information of the hand of the target object. Therefore, in this embodiment, the flight of the drone can be controlled based on the hand of the target object in the image taken by the shooting device. This avoids the situation where the user has to operate a control device to control the drone, overcomes the shortcomings of users being unable to control the drone due to unfamiliarity with the control device, simplifies the control method and operation process of controlling the drone, improves the efficiency of controlling the flight of the drone, and enhances the entertainment of human-machine interaction. In addition, this embodiment of the invention also provides a control device for drones.
