Hunan Province releases a list of supply and demand for advanced steel materials industry chain, with 7.8 million tons of "steel demand" anchoring industry collaboration and innovation.

On December 22, 2025, the Hunan Province Advanced Steel Materials Industry Chain upstream and downstream matching fair and the "Hundreds of Meetings, Thousands of Enterprises" large, medium, and small enterprise integration event was held in Changsha. The theme of this matchmaking event is "precise supply-demand matching, deep industry collaboration", and it released the "Hunan Province Advanced Steel Materials Industry Chain Supply and Demand List", focusing on solving the problem of information asymmetry between the upstream and downstream of the industry chain, and promoting the efficient matching of high-quality steel products in the province with key sector demands. The released supply and demand list systematically integrates core information of the industry chain. On the supply side, it gathers 13 key enterprises including Hunan Iron and Steel Group and Zhuzhou Hard Alloy Group, covering 44 core products such as engineering machinery steel, automotive plates, electrical steel, hard alloy, etc. On the demand side, it focuses on the province's characteristic advantage areas, including 161 companies' procurement information, with an annual steel material procurement total of 7.8049 million tons, approximately 25% of the province's steel production in 2024. In terms of structure, the four major key areas of construction engineering, engineering machinery, new energy vehicles, and new power equipment account for nearly 80% of the total demand, fully reflecting the high degree of alignment between the "steel demand" of Hunan manufacturing and industrial layout.
