Apple will significantly increase the proportion of Samsung's DRAM procurement.
Due to the rapid increase in the price of storage chips, Apple is expanding its procurement share of Samsung's storage chips for the iPhone. This change in the supply pattern is expected to allow Samsung to account for about 60% to 70% of the low-power dynamic random access memory supply used in the iPhone 17. In previous generations of iPhone products, the supply ratio between Samsung and SK Hynix was more balanced, and Micron also participated as a smaller supplier.
