The Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Education, and the Communist Youth League Central Committee launch the nationwide "Legal Aid Volunteer Action" activity.

On the occasion of the 40th International Volunteer Day, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Education, and the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League issued a notice to organize and promote the "Legal Aid Volunteer Action" nationwide, mobilizing legal professionals, university teachers and students, and individuals to actively participate in legal aid volunteer services, promote the standardized construction and scale development of legal volunteer services. The notice proposes seven action measures including cultivating and developing a team of legal aid volunteers, carrying out volunteer services in various fields and types, extending legal aid volunteer services to the grassroots in the western regions, incorporating legal aid volunteer services into legal education, strengthening the organization and management of volunteer services, establishing a cooperation mechanism for volunteer services, and leading and driving extensive participation from all sectors of society, in order to create more well-known, satisfactory, and socially recognized unique volunteer service brands. It is understood that currently, more than 400 universities nationwide, with over 100,000 university teachers and students, have participated in legal aid volunteer services, carrying out over 240,000 activities and serving millions of people.
