Two departments: support the construction of solar thermal power stations in large-scale new energy bases such as "Shago Desert" and water wind power bases that have technical and economic conditions.

The National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration issued the "Several Opinions on Promoting the Large-scale Development of Solar Thermal Power Generation", proposing to allocate solar thermal power generation on demand according to the construction of large-scale energy bases. They support the construction of solar thermal power plants in large-scale renewable energy bases with technical and economic conditions, such as the "Shagohuang" large-scale external new energy base, water, wind, and solar external bases, and various self-use bases. It is necessary to scientifically determine the installed capacity of solar thermal power generation in the base, optimize and improve the base's regulation capacity, increase the proportion of green electricity in the base, reduce the average carbon emission of the base, strengthen the stable delivery of renewable energy, and actively explore the technical and economic feasibility of solar thermal power stations playing a supporting and regulating role in large bases.
