Two departments: Construct a batch of support-regulatory new energy power stations mainly based on solar thermal power generation.

The National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration have issued the "Several Opinions on Promoting the Large-scale Development of Concentrated Solar Power Generation". Among them, it is proposed to build a number of new energy power stations mainly based on concentrated solar power generation to support regulation. Taking into account internal and external conditions such as regional resource endowment, construction elements, energy demand, and absorption capacity, according to the requirements of the new power system construction, with the goal of effectively filling the regional power gap, easing the pressure on power security, and providing green support and regulation capacity, implement the concept of electricity-heat coupling and source-grid coordination, and build a number of large-capacity concentrated solar power stations or integrated scheduling and operation projects of concentrated solar power and wind power or photovoltaic power generation locally, to enhance the peak load regulation capacity and stability of regional power grids, and strengthen the security and flexibility of power supply.
