Bank of America CEO Moynihan stated that artificial intelligence is beginning to have a greater impact on the US economy. Moynihan said in a TV interview on Monday, "This year, AI investments continue to accumulate, and may become a more important driver of growth in the next few years. The effects of AI are becoming increasingly prominent, although not all growth can be attributed to AI, its marginal effects are quite significant." Moynihan, who has been in charge of the bank for nearly 15 years, stated that Bank of America predicts that the US economy will remain strong next year, with an expected growth of 2.4%, higher than the expected 2% for 2025. He mentioned that although the labor market is beginning to soften, it seems more like a normal adjustment in the job market. Moynihan pointed out that given that the AI industry is dominated by a few companies, even if there is a correction after the industry overheats, Bank of America believes that the threats it poses to the economy (including consumer impact and unemployment risk) are relatively limited.
