On December 22, the Shanghai Gold Exchange issued an announcement regarding the holiday trading closures for 2026: in accordance with the "Notice on the Arrangement of a Part of the Holidays in 2026" issued by the State Council Office, combined with the actual situation of the Shanghai Gold Exchange, the holiday trading closures for 2026 are announced as follows:
1. New Year's Day: closed from January 1 to January 3, with no night trading on the evening of December 31, 2025. Regular weekend closure on January 4 and resume normal trading from January 5.
2. Spring Festival: closed from February 15 to February 23. Regular weekend closure on February 14 and February 28. No night trading on the evening of February 13. Resume normal trading from February 24.
3. Qingming Festival: closed from April 4 to April 6. No night trading on the evening of April 3. Resume normal trading from April 7.
4. Labor Day: closed from May 1 to May 5. Regular weekend closure on May 9. No night trading on the evening of April 30. Resume normal trading from May 6.
5. Dragon Boat Festival: closed from June 19 to June 21. No night trading on the evening of June 18. Resume normal trading from June 22.
6. Mid-Autumn Festival: closed from September 25 to September 27. No night trading on the evening of September 24. Resume normal trading from September 28.
7. National Day: closed from October 1 to October 7. Regular weekend closure on September 20 and October 10. No night trading on the evening of September 30. Resume normal trading from October 8.
