Rectification exceeding 1 trillion yuan! The 2024 audit rectification report is released.

On the afternoon of December 22, the 19th meeting of the 14th Standing Committee of the National People's Congress listened to the report of the State Council on the rectification of problems found in the audit of the central budget execution and other fiscal revenues and expenditures for the year 2024. The report showed that as of the end of September 2025, 98% of the 2,186 issues requiring immediate rectification in the 2024 audit report had been rectified; and time tables and roadmaps had been formulated for the 1,299 issues requiring phased rectification, and the 753 issues requiring continuous rectification. Localities, departments, and units collectively rectified issues amounting to 1.04 trillion yuan, and formulated and improved more than 1,090 systems, and disciplined more than 3,420 individuals. The overall progress of rectifying major issues has been smooth, resolving some systemic problems that are detrimental to high-quality economic development.
