Australia initiates a preliminary ruling on anti-dumping and countervailing duties on railway wheels from China.

On December 22, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission issued Announcement No. 2025/128, making preliminary anti-dumping and countervailing determinations on freight railway wheels imported from China. It was decided that from December 22, 2025, temporary anti-dumping duties would be levied on the products involved from China in the form of a security deposit, with a rate of 36.9% for non-cooperative producers and all producers. As there is currently insufficient evidence to support a positive preliminary determination of countervailing duties on the products involved from China, the Commission will continue the investigation. The Australian Customs code for the products involved is 8607.19.00.20.
