Currently, the yield of money market funds continues to decline, with an increasing number of products' seven-day annualized yield falling below 1%. As of December 17th, the number has exceeded 100. It is worth noting that some money market funds have experienced a "counter-trend surge" in yield in the short term. Industry insiders believe that the seven-day annualized yield of money market funds is a lagging indicator, and its significant fluctuations are mainly related to factors such as the realization of floating profit and large redemptions, and are not sustainable. Currently, although money market funds no longer offer high returns, their core value as liquidity management tools remains unchanged.
