The Israeli cabinet approved the construction of 19 new Jewish settlements on the West Bank of the Jordan River.

Israeli Finance Minister Smotrich issued a statement on the 21st saying that the Israeli cabinet has approved a proposal to build 19 new Jewish settlements in the West Bank. Smotrich said that the proposal was jointly submitted by him and Defense Minister Katz, with the government planning a record-breaking 69 Jewish settlements in the next 3 years, which will "consolidate Israel's control over the West Bank and prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state."
