On December 19, the Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company of PetroChina submitted the first phase of petroleum reserves for the Shunqing Oilfield, with over 20 million tons of oil and over 2 billion cubic meters of natural gas confirmed, passing the review by the Ministry of Natural Resources. This marks the birth of the first tight oilfield in the Sichuan Basin. Following the submission of shale oil reserves in the Fuxing Oilfield earlier this year, this is the largest scale of crude oil reserves submitted in the Sichuan Basin, serving as an important replacement force for the long-term stable production of unconventional oil and gas resources.
