Starting next year, Beijing residential property companies will have a "big exam" every six months.

On January 1, 2026, the "Comprehensive Evaluation and Management Measures for Property Service Enterprises in Residential Projects in Beijing" will start to be implemented. After the evaluation period ends in the first half of next year, the first trial evaluation results will be released. The "Measures" propose to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of property enterprises through a multidimensional index system. Based on the evaluation results, property service enterprises participating in the management of residential projects in Beijing will be subject to classified supervision, and an incentive and penalty system will be established. Evaluations will be conducted every six months, and the results will be published through official channels such as the website of the housing and construction department and the Jing Tong mini program. The housing and construction department in Beijing will classify residential property service enterprises into four levels from high to low based on the evaluation results, with a focus on strengthening the supervision of companies with poor service quality for rectification.
