A recent opinion poll released in Germany on the 20th showed that the majority of Germans support Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt's policy goal of strict control of immigration. The poll was commissioned by the DPA news agency and conducted by the Forsa research institute from the 12th to the 15th of this month, with over 2,100 eligible voters surveyed. When asked whether they support Dobrindt's policy goal, 53% of respondents said they "completely support" it, 23% said they "somewhat support" it; while 15% chose "completely oppose" and "somewhat oppose"; those who could not give a clear answer or did not respond accounted for 9%.
