Liu Yonghao: Private enterprises must strive to prevent "overwork", not "lie down" and find a way out.
From December 18th to 20th, the Central United Front Work Department and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce held a special seminar at the Central Socialist Institute for private economic representatives to study and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Party and the spirit of the Central Economic Work Conference. During the seminar, Liu Yonghao, Chairman of the New Hope Group, said in an interview that current private entrepreneurs are showing strong enterprising spirit, which is a competitive advantage of the Chinese economy, but they also need to be cautious of possible "involution-style" competition.
Facing the challenges brought by the slowing economic growth and the transformation towards high-quality development, many traditional business operators are feeling anxious, and some even find themselves in a state of "lying flat" or lack of confidence. Liu Yonghao pointed out, "Difficulties will not disappear due to anxiety, 'lying flat' means completely withdrawing from the race. Only by maintaining efforts can there be a possibility of turning the tables and moving forward."
Liu Yonghao believes that in the face of challenges, companies should take proactive actions and actively seek change. In particular, traditional companies should use technology to improve operational efficiency, build core competitiveness through technological innovation, and enhance internal management skills, in order to find new paths for growth amidst challenges.
