According to Inner Mongolia Daily, on December 18th, Inner Mongolia Silicon Source New Energy Electronic Materials Technology Co., Ltd. officially launched its first phase project with an annual output of 20,000 tons of silicon carbon anode materials in DaLu Industrial Park, Jungar Banner, Ordos City, achieving the world's first large-scale production of CVD silicon carbon anode materials. The project uses Tsinghua University's fluidized bed wrapping technology to produce the third generation new type of CVD silicon carbon anode material known as the "battery life accelerator" - compared to traditional graphite anodes, it not only significantly improves the energy density of battery cells and the efficiency of the first charge and discharge cycle, but also overcomes the industry's difficult problem of battery expansion, increasing the driving range of new energy vehicles by about 30%, and achieving the highest increase in volume energy density of 50%. This means that electric vehicles can run farther and charge faster with better compatibility in high latitude regions.
