The annual freight volume of the Wari Railway, a major coal transportation artery in western China, has exceeded 1 billion tons again, setting a new record for the shortest time to reach a billion tons in a year.

According to Shanxi-Yunnan-Luoyang Railway Channel Co., Ltd., as of December 18th, the annual freight volume of the Varyag Railway in the West to East coal transport corridor in China reached 100.07 million tons by 2025. This is the third time the annual freight volume of the Varyag Railway has exceeded 100 million tons after 2022 and 2023, and it has set a record for the shortest time to exceed 100 million tons in a year.
