The report on the digital green transformation and development released by the National Internet Information Office on the 19th shows that by the end of 2024, China had constructed a total of 246 national green data centers, and promoted more than 300 energy-saving and carbon-reducing technologies for digital infrastructure such as data centers and communication base stations, accelerating the application of advanced and applicable technologies. The report points out that by 2024, China's digital green transformation and development has made solid progress, with a continuously improving policy system, a solid foundation of capabilities, accelerated breakthroughs in technological innovation, and deepening practical applications, achieving comprehensive improvement in quality and efficiency. In 2024, the number of patent applications for the coordination of digital and green development exceeded 26,900, with 6,405 newly authorized patents. Innovation momentum in green computing power, zero-carbon information and communication networks, smart energy, green smart manufacturing, smart ecological governance, and intelligent recycling of waste continues to accelerate. By the end of 2024, over 170 national standards related to the coordination of digital and green development had been issued and developed, covering four categories: green and low-carbon development of the digital industry, transformation and upgrading of traditional industries empowered by digital technology, digital governance of the ecological environment, and construction of green smart cities.
