The total number of employed persons in Hong Kong decreased by 11,300 in September, a year-on-year decrease of 0.4%.

Wisdom Financial APP learned that on December 19, the Census and Statistics Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government released the statistics on the number of employees and job vacancies in Hong Kong (formerly known as employment and job vacancy statistics). The data shows that in September 2025 compared with the same period of the previous year, the total number of employees in private enterprises covered by the Hong Kong statistics survey decreased by 0.4%, or 11,300 people; while the number of job vacancies was 51,450, a decrease of 23% or 15,010 compared to the same period of the previous year.
