National Health Commission: Saturated fat and sugar content will be included in the nutrition labels of prepackaged foods.
The National Health Commission reminds people to pay attention to the fat, saturated fat, sodium, and sugar content in the nutrition facts table, which is the first step in controlling "hidden" health risks. The new version of the "Food Safety National Standards for Prepackaged Food Nutrition Labeling General Rules" will include "saturated fat" and "sugar" as core items that must be indicated. This standard will be officially implemented starting from March 16, 2027, and encourages companies to implement it in advance before this date.
