The UK Meteorological Office said that 2025 was the sunniest year in the UK.

Preliminary statistics released by the UK Meteorological Office recently show that 2025 has become the sunniest year in the UK since records began in 1910. Despite there still being two weeks left in the year, preliminary data from the UK Meteorological Office shows that as of December 15th, the accumulated sunshine hours in the UK have reached 1622 hours, surpassing the record set in 2003 for annual sunshine duration.
