New projects have been put into operation intensively, and state-owned energy companies are fully opening their firepower to ensure energy supply.
According to China Securities Journal, the severe cold has arrived, with strong winds and snowstorms approaching, marking a critical stage for ensuring energy supply throughout this winter and next spring. Faced with the test of the cold wave, state-owned energy companies are operating at full capacity to ensure supply, traditional energy sources such as coal and natural gas are stable and increasing production, and clean energy projects such as wind power and nuclear power are being put into operation intensively. The national power grid is running efficiently, with several key projects being launched successively. "Currently, the overall energy supply and demand situation in China is stable, with abundant energy supply nationwide and sufficient coal reserves at power plants," said Sun Chuanwang, professor at the China Energy Economics Research Center at Xiamen University. With the comprehensive start of heating in the north, energy consumption is steadily increasing, and the modern energy system with multiple complementary sources is solidifying the defense line for ensuring supply, enhancing the long-term guarantee capacity of resources continuously.
