US November CPI unexpectedly low Analysts' views diverge: soft data support rate cuts but beware of government shutdown impact
According to the Wise Finance APP, US inflation data in November was significantly lower than market expectations. Due to the previous government shutdown, data released by the US Department of Labor on Thursday showed that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 2.7% year-on-year in November, lower than the economists' consensus expectation of 3.1% in media surveys. After the data was released, market expectations for a rate cut by the Fed in January next year slightly increased.
