On December 18th, the main beams and main bridge of the left and right span of the expansion project of the Chengnan Expressway across the Lanyu Railway Bridge were successfully connected to achieve millimeter-level docking and rotation. The weight of the double-span rotation of the bridge reached 20,000 tons, with the maximum height of rotation being 49.4 meters, making it the highest T-beam bridge with rotation at the bottom of the pier in the country. It is reported that the Lanyu Railway is busy with daily transportation of over 110 passenger and freight trains, and the bridge spans over the Lanyu Railway. In order to minimize the impact of construction on railway operations, the project team conducted the rotation operation during the early hours of the "window period". A bridge rotation intelligent real-time visual monitoring system was introduced on site to monitor various parameters in real time through digital twin technology to ensure accurate and safe rotation. The expansion project of the Chengnan Expressway is an important part of the G42 Shanghai-Rongchang Expressway, a key transportation corridor in the national "Ten Vertical and Ten Horizontal" comprehensive transportation network, with a total length of over 240 kilometers, making it the largest in-situ expansion project with the longest mileage in Sichuan Province. After the project is completed, it will become an important channel connecting the twin cities economic circle of Chengdu and Chongqing, and will play a significant role in promoting regional economic development. The completion of this rotation project lays a solid foundation for the full completion and opening of the Chengnan Expressway expansion project by the end of this year.
