In the period from January to October 2025, the total number of tourists received in Beijing exceeded 300 million.

At the press conference on December 18th, Beijing's achievements and highlights in the cultivation and construction of an international consumer center city were announced. Xu Zhentao, member of the Party Committee and deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism, stated that from January to October this year, Beijing received over 3 billion tourists, with tourism spending exceeding 600 billion yuan, an increase of 5.4% and 7.2% respectively compared to the same period last year. Cultural and tourism consumption has become an important driver for the construction of an international consumer center city.
