Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: Speed up the release of photovoltaic module quality safety label regulations and polysilicon energy consumption limits.

On December 18th, at the 2025 Annual Conference of the Solar Industry hosted by the China Photovoltaic Industry Association, Yang Xudong, Director of the Department of Electronics and Information Technology of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated that the Ministry will further improve the standard system and effectively fulfill the function of "managing industry means managing standards." The Ministry will continue to improve and optimize the technical standard system for advanced photovoltaics, accelerate the revision and implementation of mandatory national standards such as the quality and safety labeling norms for photovoltaic modules and the energy consumption limit for polycrystalline silicon. At the same time, the Ministry will strengthen the research and application of industry standards such as classification, carbon footprint accounting, and lead the industry with high-level standard construction.
