Shanghai Electric and China National Nuclear Corporation will increase cooperation efforts in the field of fusion energy and other areas in the future.

On December 17th, the Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shanghai Electric, Wu Lei, and his delegation visited China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) and had in-depth discussions with the Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of CNNC, Shen Yanfeng, on deepening strategic cooperation. Both sides agreed that the foundation of cooperation between CNNC and Shanghai Electric is solid, and they look forward to further deepening cooperation, seizing the high ground in energy technology, working together to overcome key technologies in nuclear power equipment and other "bottleneck" technologies, enhancing independent and controllable capabilities, achieving mutual benefit and win-win results, and jointly creating a new model of cooperation between central and local enterprises. Both sides also agreed during the meeting to increase cooperation in areas such as research and development and supply of nuclear power equipment, synergy in the fusion industry, development of new energy, engineering construction, and expansion of international markets in the future.
