A 5.6 magnitude earthquake occurred in the southern waters of Panama.

According to data from the Colombia Geological Service Center, a 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck the southern sea area of Chiriqui Province in Panama at 18:07 local time on December 17. The earthquake had a depth of 10 kilometers. There is currently no tsunami warning issued, and no reports of casualties or property damage.
