U.S. Treasury: The U.S. allows transactions related to nuclear energy with Russian banks until June 2026.

The Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Department of the Treasury issued a general license on December 17, allowing transactions in the civil nuclear energy sector with a series of Russian banks, the Russian Central Bank, and the National Clearing Center. The license states: "This general license authorizes all transactions involving one or more of the following entities related to civil nuclear energy that are prohibited by an executive order of the President to be conducted before 12:01 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time on June 18, 2026."
