The Baltic Dry Index has fallen to its lowest level in over a month.

According to reports, the Baltic Dry Index for dry bulk shipping in the Baltic Sea has fallen to a more than one-month low, pressured by weak freight rates across all ship types. The Baltic Dry Index fell 83 points, or 3.8%, to 2121 points, the lowest since November 13. The Capesize Index dropped 140 points, or about 3.7%, to 3694 points, close to a one-month low. Capesize ships saw their daily profits decrease by $1163 to $30637. The Panamax Index continued its decline, dropping 97 points, or 6.2%, to 1480 points, the lowest level since June 26. Panamax ships' daily profits also fell by $871 to $13318. The Supramax Index fell 27 points to 1308 points.
