The Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, chaired a cross-departmental working group meeting today to comprehensively coordinate and supervise the preparatory work of various government departments for receiving visitors during the New Year's Eve and New Year holidays. Cheung Kin-chung stated that Hong Kong will be hosting a series of activities during the New Year's Eve and New Year holidays, with the three days starting from New Year's Day being a public holiday in Mainland China, expecting a significant increase in the number of visitors during this period. The SAR Government will make preparations for receiving visitors to Hong Kong, including actively coordinating and integrating border and transportation facilities, maintaining close contact with relevant organizations and the tourism industry, managing pedestrian flow, disseminating information, arranging public transportation and various border arrangements, ensuring that all aspects of receiving visitors operate smoothly and provide a quality experience for visitors to Hong Kong.
