Germany is about to approve military orders exceeding 500 billion euros.
German lawmakers will hold a closed-door meeting on Wednesday to approve a record number of weapon contracts, paving the way for a single meeting approval of over 50 billion euros in defense spending. According to procurement documents, these 30 orders will cover a wide range of supplies and services, including 21 billion euros for basic military equipment and clothing, over 4 billion euros for "Puma" infantry fighting vehicles, 3.4 billion euros for self-propelled howitzers, and 3 billion euros for "Arrow-3" anti-aircraft intercept missiles.
