The Hong Kong Stock Exchange has published a consultation summary on proposed amendments to the Listing Rules regarding the continuous public shareholding requirements. Adopted reform measures include: introducing alternative thresholds for continuous public shareholding requirements to provide greater flexibility for issuers' capital management. All issuers will be subject to new public shareholding reporting obligations, and additional disclosure requirements will be imposed on issuers with insufficient public shareholdings to increase market transparency. The new continuous public shareholding requirements will take effect on January 1, 2026. (HKEX)
