The British government is providing over 120 million pounds in aid to support the Ineos plant in Scotland.
Ineos Group announced on December 16 that, with the support of the UK government, they will invest 150 million in the Grangemouth chemical plant in Scotland, with 75 million being provided by the UK government in loan guarantees and 50 million in government grants. The statement said that this investment will be used to upgrade key production equipment, improve energy efficiency, reduce emissions, and enhance the factory's competitiveness, while securing over 500 high-skilled direct job positions and allowing the plant to continue providing critical raw materials to the UK economy.
